Bittner's research was made on the ground of D.H. Mueller's South Arabian Expedition of K. u K. Akademie der Wissenschaften zu Wien Modern South Arabian Languages (Mahri, Soqotri, Shahri) collections and publications. This book is rare indeed, that is why and because of the change of the scientific approach to a right transcription of Soqotri (IPA instead of the Mueller's classic transcription) this work does not play role it should play it Soqotri language researches. Especially, when the Soqotrans themselves are trying to fond the way to know about their ancient Semitic language more and to save it from extinction.
